Ridgewood NJ, signs in the county park this morning offer nothing to fear no ,they are  not “murder hornets”.  While much light has been shed on the plight of honeybees because they are highly valued as the pollinators of 70% of North American food crops, very little is said about the struggle of our native pollinating bees.”

Readers Debate Crime Wave at Bergen County Wild Duck Pond in Ridgewood

I am SHOCKED. This is depressing. I never knew this can happen in Ridgewood. These things do not happen in the Bronx in the middle of the day let alone a small, cozy town in Bergen County. If this has been happening on a regular basis why is no one arrested? Why can’t there be hidden cameras in these places? If there is no punishment things will get worse.
And I am sorry but continually advising people to not leave stuff in their cars is insulting. It is suggesting we have to accept crime as a normal thing and accept that we have no power over criminals.

Ridgewood Police Respond to Gun Shots Fired in County Park

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that on April 4th, at approximately 11pm, the Ridgewood Police Department responded to the area of the county park on reports from numerous callers that it sounded like there were gunshots or firecrackers being set off by or in the park. After investigation it was determined that a 27-year-old from Ridgewood N.J., had fired a weapon into a tree in the park. The accused was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. This incident is still under investigation by the Ridgewood Police Department Detective Bureau and BCI.
