These thefts usually consist of individuals distracting people who have just made a bank withdrawal and then attempt to get them out of their vehicle. Once out of the vehicle a second person will take the money and valuable out of the car.
Englewood NJ, at approximately 7:30 am Friday June 23rd the Englewood Police Department responded to a call for service involving a male threatening to kill himself . Upon arrival Englewood Police Department personal observed an agitated man who was throwing items off the 3rd floor roof . The man had had previous interactions with the Englewood Police Department and was known as an emotional disturbed individual. officers observed he was armed with a knife . The Englewood Police began speaking to the man in an attempt to peaceable disarm him. The man threatened to kill himself , asking the police to shot him and began tossing items off the roof at the police officers. An Englewood Police negotiator arrived and managed to calm the man down and talk him off the roof . Once inside the 33 year old man was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment. At this time no criminal changed are anticipated.
