Heated Dispute at the Wilde Park basketball Court in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to 9-1-1 reports of a heated dispute at the Wilde Park basketball court involving two large groups some of whom decided to arm themselves with baseball bats. The responding officers, assisted by reinforcements from the Ridgewood and Fair Lawn Police Departments, were eventually able to deescalate and disperse those involved. No injuries or property damage occurred, and no one present claimed to be a victim or requested any police assistance. Later it was reported that the conflict lasted about 10 minutes and NO Baseball bats were found .

Glen Rock NJ, CAR BURGLARIES: Friday night Fair Lawn Police arrested a male on a bicycle with proceeds from car burglaries. Items in his possession were determined to come from a victim in Glen Rock. We are asking residents to check their video doorbells, camera system, etc for any footage from last night that would assist us in this investigation. Fair Lawn Police Department still have many unidentified items including a lot of clothing. Any residents who have been victims are asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department to file a report.

Fair lawn NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of WILLIAM H. JENKINS, JR (DOB: 1/22/1984; single; and employed as a music producer) of 14 Van Saun Place, Fair Lawn, NJ, on a charge of Aggravated Manslaughter.

William Jenkins is the brother of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins .

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Michael Saudino, and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels.

On Monday, June 25, 2018, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a deceased male had been found within a private home located at 14 Van Saun Place, Fair Lawn, NJ. An investigation revealed that William H. JENJKINS, Jr. was involved in a physical altercation with the victim, Roosevelt Rene, which resulted in Rene’s death. William H. JENKINS, Jr., fled the area to Ontario County, New York. He was arrested on June 25, 2018, by the New York State Police on an unrelated matter and lodged in the Ontario County Jail at that time.

As a result of the investigation, William H. JENKINS, Jr., was charged with one count of Aggravated Manslaughter, N.J.S.A. 2C:11-4A(1), a crime of the 1st degree. William H. JENKINS, Jr., is currently in custody in New York State, and no first appearance has been scheduled.

Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would also like to thank the Fair Lawn Police Department, Port Authority Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and Ontario County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this investigation

Fair Lawn NJ,Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of KENNETH SMITH (DOB: 6/6/1971; single; and employed as a trucking company dispatcher) of Paterson, New Jersey on charges of Aggravated Arson and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the
Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn Cauwels.

On June 27, 2017, the Fair Lawn Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a fire at the Knights of Columbus located at 16-16 Maple Avenue, Fair Lawn, N.J. The
subsequent investigation revealed an unknown male threw a Molotov cocktail type device through the front window of the building. Responding police and fire units found the front office area engulfed in flames. The fire was contained to the front office area and did not spread into the remainder of the structure.

As a result of the investigation, Kenneth SMITH was arrested on Friday, October 13, 2017 in Paterson, New Jersey and charged with one count of Aggravated Arson, N.J.S.A.
2C:17-2a, a 2nd degree crime; and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3, a 3rd degree crime. After being processed, Kenneth SMITH was remanded to the Bergen
County Jail pending a first appearance at the Bergen County Central Judicial Court on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt,
and would also like to thank the Fair Lawn Police Department and the Paterson Police Department for their assistance in this investigation
