Glen Rock NJ, two (2) youths walking home from school were struck by separate motor vehicles within five (5) minutes of one another just blocks apart in Glen Rock on Thursday afternoon, 12/15. The first incident (accompanying photos) occurred on Hamilton Avenue near Rock Road – the victim here reportedly sustained non life threatening injuries to both knees and was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. The second incident occurred at the intersection of Harristown Road and Thurston Terrace – the victim of that incident also transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital with a non life threatening foot injury. Glen Rock PD and EMS responded to both locations. Ridgewood PD provided assistance at the intersection of Harristown Road and Thurston Terrace.

Glen Rock NJ, An driver-less SUV rolled down a steep hill and crashed into an occupied home at 163 Boulevard, Glen Rock late in the afternoon of Saturday, 10/22. Glen Rock PD and FD responded to the scene. No injuries were reported associated with the incident and the home did not appear to have sustained any significant structural damage. The heavily damaged vehicle was removed by a flatbed tow truck. Glen Rock PD is investigating the cause of the “roll away.”

Glen Rock NJ, An unattended backpack found at the Boro Hall train station in Glen Rock just prior to 8 AM on Monday, 10/17 resulted in a response from Glen Rock PD, NJ Transit PD, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad unit. The backpack was determined to have been unintentionally left behind by a disabled patron and cleared after a bomb squad technician conducted an x-ray inspection. Train traffic was not disrupted by the incident.

Ridgewood Nj, Glen Rock Savings was robbed at gun point this morning at 10:45 am . Sources describe that a women in a pink wig ,armed with a gun and an LV ( Louis Vuitton ) bag robbed the Glen Rock Savings of $116,000  on 183 Rock Road. No one was hurt.

FBI agents as well as officers from Glen Rock, Ridgewood and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
