Ridgewood Nj, its going to be a very hot weekend . Today look for Sunny sky’s, with a high near 97. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon. On Sunday mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 100. Heat index values as high as 103. Light south wind becoming southwest 8 to 13 mph in the morning.

Ridgewood NJ, a Heat Advisory was in effect yesterday . The combination of heat and humidity made it feel like it was anywhere from 95 to 104 degrees . Many residents turned to an old favorite Graydon Pool to cool off. Remember , no sharks ,no jellyfish , not traffic but plenty of parking .

Ridgewood NJ, after a drop off at Health Barn a school bus driver was told to park at Graydon Pool . Sources say the driver plugged the GPS coordinates and headed toward Maple Avenue . Unfamiliarity with the location of the parking lot and careful attention to the GPS commands led the driver to errantly turn in at the barn and head across the sand on the Maple Avenue side and then the Linwood Avenue side leaving the bus stranded . Fortunately no children were on the bus and no one was injured ,except for a bruised ego . A tow truck was called in to remove the bus .

Ridgewood NJ, Graydon Pool, Youth Swimming Instruction Lessons, Graydon Competitive Swim Team, Day Camp, and Other Summer Camp Registrations Are Now Open – Early Bird Discount for Graydon Pool through April 30, 2022 – These registrations are all done through Community Pass. There will be on-site registration, at the Graydon Pool badge office on May 14th and May 21st, in the morning.
