Ridgewood NJ, Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has distanced himself from the Democratic Party, citing his disapproval of what he perceives as “racist” diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Ackman, once a Bill Clinton Democrat, voiced his discontent, describing the party’s transformation into “woke martyrs” as something he no longer wishes to be associated with. “Verita$” was a best seller in Korea, author Shin Eun-jung’s native country, because she asks the question that’s hardly ever asked: Why Harvard?
Eun-jung says the third word a Korean baby learns, after “Mom” and “Dad,” is “Harvard.” She argues that this is a tragedy, because Harvard isn’t the global intellectual powerhouse of reputation.
Now, there are plenty of criticisms of Harvard, though rarely the one Eun-jung levels: that Harvard swanned its way to dominance by maintaining a false front of liberalism when it is, in fact, an arm of the governing right.
“Verita$” recites a litany of bad acts: the Salem witch trials, eugenics, a so-called “collaboration” with Joseph Goebbels and Heinrich Himmler, architects of financial collapse such as Robert Rubin and Larry Summers, McCarthyism, racism, sexism, tyrannical labor practices and “a poison called elitism.”
Her list is long. I might add Harvard produces such venerable alumni as Henry Kissinger, Ted Kaczynski and Dr. Oz.
Michael Bloomberg’s Surprise Warning to Liberals at Harvard Commencement

Billionaire media mogul and former mayor Michael Bloomberg has infuriated conservatives with his attacks on gun rights and nanny-state policies in New York City. But on a spring day at Harvard University’s commencement, his critique was directed at liberals.
“Today, on many college campuses, it is liberals trying to repress conservative ideas—even as conservative faculty members are at risk of becoming an endangered species,” Bloomberg said.
Bloomberg’s attack of liberal intolerance comes amid heightened debates over religious liberty in American life and free speech on college campuses. Condoleezza Rice, former secretary of state under President George W. Bush, withdrew from speaking after protests at Rutgers University, for example.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Bloomberg lashed out at liberals, calling some of their actions a form of censorship. He cited a statistic from Harvard that 96 percent of faculty donated to President Obama’s re-election campaign.
“Ninty-six percent,” Bloomberg said, as he interrupted by applause. “There was more disagreement among the old Soviet Politburo than there was among Ivy League donors.”
So how were Bloomberg’s remarks received on campus? CNN found students who would’ve preferred he stayed away, including one who called his speech “detrimental” to graduates.
