Ridgewood NJ, the National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” an approaching cold front will bring potential for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening. Strong to damaging wind gusts will be the main threat. Hail and even an isolated tornado is also a possibility.

Ridgewood NJ, the National Weather Service is issuing a Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,  southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

Strong to locally severe thunderstorms are possible late this
afternoon and into this evening, mainly across the interior. Some of
these storms may be capable of producing damaging winds and hail.
