17 South Crash in Ho Ho Kus Wedges Car Under Tractor Tailor

Ho Ho Kus NJ,  No injuries were reported in a Monday morning, 06/05, crash on Route 17 southbound at Hollywood Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus involving a white colored Toyota Camry and a tractor trailer. The Toyota became partially wedged under the trailer and had to be freed by a flatbed tow truck. Ho-Ho-Kus PD investigated the crash and provided traffic control while the tow truck operator worked to free the passenger vehicle and remove it from the scene.

Late Friday Crash Leaves Vehicle Heavily Damaged

Waldwick NJ, Waldwick PD and EMS responded to multiple 911 telephone calls of a reported motor vehicle crash on Route 17 northbound near East Prospect Street late Friday afternoon, 04/14. Responding units located a 4-door Honda Accord sedan off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle appeared to have struck a tree and a concrete barrier after leaving the travel lanes. The adult male driver was evaluated by Waldwick EMS personnel. It is not known whether he was transported to a hospital. The heavily damaged vehicle was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. There was no visible indication that another vehicle was involved in the crash. Ho-Ho-Kus PD units assisted with traffic control.

Car on the Tracks Halts Main Line and Bergen Line Train Service

Ho Ho Kus NJ, Train traffic on NJ Transit’s Main and Bergen Lines was halted in both directions through Ho-Ho-Kus on Sunday evening, 12/25 after the adult female driver of a 4-door Acura sedan became disoriented and drove her vehicle onto the tracks just north of the Ho-Ho-Kus train station platform. The vehicle was removed from the tracks by a flatbed tow truck. There was no damage to the tracks and following removal, the vehicle was able to be driven away on its own power. Ho-Ho-Kus PD, Ridgewood PD, and NJ Transit PD officers responded to the incident.
