Paramus NJ, All indoor malls, amusement parks and amusement centers in New Jersey must close by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Gov. Phil Murphy announced.

The move comes a day after Murphy closed all casinos, bars, movie theaters, nightclubs, performing arts centers and gyms until further notice and set a voluntary curfew, asking all residents to stay home between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

With more testing available, cases in New Jersey are ramping up, as health experts predicted. The state’s cases rose to 267 Tuesday, an increase of 89 in a single day.

Trenton NJ,  Governor Phil Murphy today announced the offshore wind solicitation schedule to meet the 7,500 megawatt (MW) offshore wind goal by 2035 and called upon the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities to take all necessary actions to implement the schedule. These projects will deliver the clean, renewable energy generation needed to meet the State’s goals of 50 percent renewable energy by 2030 and a 100 percent clean energy economy by 2050. Reaching 7,500 MW will generate enough electricity to power more than 3.2 million homes and meet fifty percent of the state’s electric power need, while supporting an offshore wind industry that will generate billions of dollars in investments in New Jersey’s future and create thousands of jobs.

Governor Phil Murphy’s Insane Budget , “does nothing to encourage New Jersey families to stay in the Garden State”

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy presented his budget proposal  and its the biggest budget in NJ history $40.9 billion  raising spending by 5.5%.

Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean said Governor Phil Murphy’s budget proposal for FY 2021 does nothing to encourage New Jersey families to stay in the Garden State.

“Anyone who’s looking for a plan to make New Jersey more affordable will be disappointed by a budget proposal from Governor Murphy that raises taxes and makes no effort to constrain costs,” said Kean (R-21). “In a year when state revenues are booming, the governor’s spending plan represents a missed opportunity to demonstrate fiscal discipline and provide real tax relief to New Jerseyans.”

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy tweeted Saturday that he has a tumor , likely cancerous on his kidney and will have surgery in early March to remove it.

New Jersey’s 62-year-old governor thanked his doctors for catching it early , “Over 50,000 New Jerseyans will hear the words “you have cancer” this year, so I’m far from alone here,” Murphy tweeted. “It’s a situation that far too many families find themselves in. That’s why we’re fighting for them each and every day.”

According to the DOJ, New Jersey Attorney General Law Enforcement Directive 2018-6 illegally bars officials from sharing the immigration status and release dates of individuals in custody and forbids state and local law enforcement from sharing vital information about criminal aliens.

Ridgewood NJ, some bad news for Governor Phil Murphy according to 24/7 Wall street  Phil Murphy was rated as the 34th lest popular governor  and New Jersey fared even worse by being ranked as the 41st worst run state . We are somewhat astonished the both Phil Murphy and New Jersey did as well as they did.

TRENTON NJ,  The energy master plan announced by Gov. Phil Murphy today calls for eliminating the state’s reliance on natural gas. Assemblyman Jay Webber said the plan is irresponsible and called on the Legislature to stop it from moving forward.“The governor’s plan would effectively end natural gas service in New Jersey; but, New Jerseyans need natural gas, which is an abundant, affordable, clean and reliable energy source,” said Webber (R-Morris). “Not only are 75 percent of our homes and businesses heated with natural gas, but about 50 percent of our electricity is generated from it. Natural gas also is critical as a raw material for manufacturing.”

Governor Phil Murphy Restores Voting Rights to People on Probation and Parole

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy Signs Restoration of Voting Rights to People on Probation and Parole.With the stroke of Gov. Phil Murphy’s pen,  New Jersey restored the right to vote to people on probation or parole.

The bill, A-5823, was passed on November 25 by the Assembly and on December 16 by the Senate. It restores voting rights upon a person’s release from prison, and to those on parole or probation. The law will go into effect 90 days from signing, or March 17, 2020.

Once implemented, this law will restore the right to vote for an estimated 83,000 New Jerseyans on probation or parole.

River Vale NJ, Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-Bergen) rebukes Gov. Phil Murphy for appointing Derrick Green to his public bank implementation board and continuing to hire those who have been convicted of bribery, accused of fraud, and a whole host of other improprieties.

“It is beyond disturbing to see that for something as significant and sizeable as a state bank, with all of the talented and qualified people in New Jersey, that quite a few members of this proposed bank have had virtually no experience whatsoever in banking,” said Schepisi. “And out of the ones who have been put on, at least one has been accused of severe, significant financial irregularities and has been under investigation for corruption and fraud.’
