How negative was press coverage of President Trump’s first 100 days in office? Far more than that of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, or Bill Clinton, according to a new report from the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.

The Harvard scholars analyzed the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and the main newscasts (not talk shows) of CBS, CNN, Fox and NBC during Trump’s initial time in office. They found, to no one’s surprise, that Trump absolutely dominated news coverage in the first 100 days. And then they found that news coverage was solidly negative — 80 percent negative among those outlets studied, versus 20 percent positive.

The numbers for previous presidents: Barack Obama, 41 percent negative, 59 percent positive; George W. Bush, 57 percent negative, 43 percent positive; and Bill Clinton, 60 percent negative, 40 percent positive.

WOW! Plato’s ‘Tyranny’ Sounds EXACTLY LIKE America Today!

Outrage In Missouri Town After Police Shooting Of 18-Yr-Old Man

This will give you chills.
Daniel Lattier | September 27, 2016

Philosopher George Santayana’s line has become cliché, but it’s so damn true: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Well, perhaps if more Americans today read Plato (like they used to), then our country wouldn’t be repeating the same mistakes he warned us about 2,400 years ago.

In Book VIII of his Republic, Plato uses a fictitious conversation between his teacher Socrates and Adeimantus to explain howdemocracies—when they become too radical—devolve into tyrannies.

I have included M. James Ziccardi’s apt summary of this conversation below. The parallels between the “tyranny” Plato describes and America today are chilling:

Reader says , Ferguson the media will only report it when they are forced to.

It serves their purpose to ‘cherry pick’ what to report- that which incites the masses. “Unarmed black teenager shot by white cop”.
The correct headline would be ‘robber shot by police officer during struggle for officers gun’.. after big thug robber tries to beat the shit out of the cop.
Remember ‘poor little trayvon’? The media showed pictures of him when he was TWELVE YEARS OLD. After the fact we finally saw the ACTUAL pictures of the 17 or 18 year old TEENAGE THUG.
Read the local newspapers. When there is a robbery, the local papers describe the robber, and will state that the suspect is Asian, middle eastern, white, or Hispanic. They will NEVER describe a suspect as black. WHen they leave out the race, its quite simple to ‘connect the dots’ and figure out what race it is.
THe media has done a dis-service to blacks by trying to hide their actions and created a racial divide that gets worse every day
