Waldwick NJ, a 64-year-old Waldwick woman has been arrested and charged with theft following an investigation into stolen package deliveries at The Station Apartments, police said.

Midland Park NJ, at least one (1) person was hospitalized following an early Wednesday morning, 10/26, crash in which a passenger vehicle slammed into a building after downing a utility pole near the Midland Park Post Office on Godwin Avenue, Midland Park. There appeared to have been moderate damage to a front facing corner of the struck building. The passenger vehicle was totaled; it was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Midland Park Police and Midland Park Fire Department responded to the incident. Ridgewood Police assisted with traffic control.
Midland Park NJ, Two (2) SUVs collided at the intersection of Erie Avenue and Franklin Avenue, Midland Park just before 9 PM on Thursday, 09/08. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks. A traffic light was downed during the collision; a front end loader owned and operated by the Borough of Midland Park lifted it off one (1) of the crashed SUVs. A Midland Park EMS ambulance crew transported an adult driver to The Valley Hospital with a non-life threatening injury; the other driver was shaken, but uninjured. There appeared to have been no passengers in either vehicle. Midland Park firefighters attended to crash related fluid spills, and made both vehicles “safe” prior to their respective removal. The accident investigation was handled by Midland Park Police officers.
Midland Park NJ, one (1) person was injured in a single vehicle, Monday morning, 08/29, crash involving two (2) utility poles located in the 100 block of Erie Avenue, Midland Park. Midland Park Police and Midland Park EMS responded to aid the victim, who was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Erie Avenue was closed in both directions between Franklin Avenue and Glen Avenue pending replacement of the damaged utility poles. A tow truck removed the damaged vehicle from the scene.

Wyckoff NJ, an ambulance each from Midland Park and Wyckoff transported two (2) victims to local hospitals from the scene of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at the intersection of Cedar Hill Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff on Tuesday morning, 04/12. Both victims were believed to have been pedestrians who were attempting to cross Cedar Hill Avenue at the time they were struck by a passing vehicle. An individual thought to be the driver of a silver colored SUV parked at the crash site was observed being interviewed by several Wyckoff Police uniformed officers. Police at the scene did not say whether the victims were using the intersection’s crosswalks when struck, nor was there any information provided as to the likelihood of summonses being issued. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Midland Park and Wyckoff EMTs at the scene. Midland Park Police also provided assistance at the incident.

Most importantly, a significant change in pattern occurred with the stolen vehicle incident. The crime was committed during the AFTERNOON HOURS. This is a major shift from previous incidents that all occurred during the overnight or early morning time frames. The perpetrators brazenly walked across a neighbor’s lawn, and drove off with the victim’s motor vehicle in broad daylight! Please be alert. Please be observant. Please report any suspicious activity to the Upper Saddle River Police Department. Do not confront these individuals! At the end of the day, it is just a car and not worth the risk of your personal safety.
