Upper Saddle River NJ, mark your calendars! On September 28, Upper Saddle River will celebrate its 130th anniversary by reviving its beloved tradition of USR Day. The event, organized by the nonprofit USR Cares, promises a day filled with family fun, community spirit, and a celebration of the borough’s rich local history. Proceeds from the event will support the Upper Saddle River Volunteer Ambulance Corps in purchasing a much-needed new ambulance.
Ridgewood NJ, Deeply Rooted; Ridgewood’s Little Plant Shop window WON! It was a fun Oktoberfest weekend, despite a day of rain. In case you didn’t know- AP Art students from RHS were paired with participating businesses, and a 4th grade student who signed up for a special art program. Together, they designed and executed amazing window art for the Halloween holiday. Deeply Rooted was done by my former student Emma P!!! Glen Rock NJ, the Taylor Aguilar Memorial Scholarship Fund is, after a hiatus due to Covid, once again hosting an in person Oktoberfest on October 8, 2023 at 1PM at the Glen Rock Athletic Club The event will raise funds in Taylor’s memory that will be directly donated to children in our area with special needs or medical conditions.
Ridgewood NJ, October 8th and 9th – Beginning at 12 Noon – Everyone is invited to Oktoberfest in Ridgewood’s West Village, in the Wilsey Square and Train Station Parking Lots – Come and enjoy hayrides (traveling on Heights Road and Crest Road with “The View” of NYC from 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m.), food, pumpkin painting, a scarecrow-making contest, a tent of vendors, toss games, sidewalk chalking, ice cream, and a full weekend of music during the day and into the night.

The Men’s Fellowship of Emmanuel Baptist Church will hold Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 21st at 5:30pm in Heritage Hall. Traditional German food and German music will be featured. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. Proceeds will be used by the men to fund mission activities which include supporting Good Shepherd Mission in Paterson and Bergen County Housing Center in Hackensack. Tickets can be ordered by calling the church office at 201-444-7300 on or before Wednesday, October 18th.
