Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that on October 11 th ,a Goffle Road business reported that two vehicles had their catalytic converters stole off of their vehicles sometime during the evening. The Ridgewood Detective Bureau is investigating.
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood police report that on October 12 th , a Canterbury Place resident reported suspicious activity. The resident ordered a new cell phone and during the day, two individuals came and knocked on their door identifying themselves as working for UPS. The employees inquired about any expensive purchases, such a cellphone, which the resident informed them of such. The employees then noted that there was a vehicle earlier that attempted to intercept the residents package from them. The vehicles were described as white and black SUVs.
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that a Wickham Way resident reported being the victim of a burglary and theft on October 22nd. The victim reported two unlocked vehicles which were parked in the driveway were entered during the overnight hours and approximately $300 in cash was removed. The Ridgewood Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that on October 21st a reported stolen trailer was located on Grove Street at a construction site by the victim. The victim reported the trailer was stolen in Paramus, N.J. in 2017 and documented as a stolen vehicle. Patrol confirmed the vehicle was stolen and impounded the trailer pending further investigation. The Ridgewood Detective Bureau investigated the incident and charged a 57 year-old male from North Bergen, N.J. with receiving stolen property. The arrestee was served with a criminal complaint, advised of the pending court date and released.
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that on May 23rd, an Emmett Place resident discovered the residence had been burglarized in the past and property from within was stolen. The Ridgewood Detective Bureau and the Bergen County Sheriff crime scene investigation unit responded and are continuing the investigation. The victim reported approximately $3000 in jewelry was stolen.
While investigating the burglary on Emmett Place on May 23rd, a second residence was found to have burglarized by canvassing the neighborhood. The front door appeared to have been forcefully entered. Patrol entered the residence and found no one home. The victim was unavailable at the time so the residence could not be processed. Patrol secured the residence until the victim was able to provide consent for the crime scene processing. The scene was later processed by the Ridgewood Detective Bureau and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department. The amount of property damage and property stolen has not been determined.
