Ridgewood NJ, Mark your calendars for the annual traditional Ridgewood Tree Lighting Celebration.

But first Ridgewood Needs a tree. The village doesn’t have a Christmas tree., and not just any tree. Ridgewood’s Christmas tree is typically 50 to 75 feet tall. It usually comes from somewhere in the greater Ridgewood area. Downes Tree Service has offered to cut, transport, place and trim the tree for free. The tree will even get a police escort to its home at the end of East Ridgewood Avenue.

Ridgewood NJ, The Ridgewood Health Department asks: Did you know that 1 in 11 Americans today suffer from Diabetes? Despite its prevalence, diabetes is an invisible disease. It affects men and women, people young and old, and people of all races, shapes and sizes. Often there are no outward signs from the 29 million Americans who fight this chronic illness every day. That’s why there is a critical need to foster awareness and education while breaking down stereotypes, myths and misunderstandings about this growing public health crisis that affects so many of us.

Valley_Hospital_theridgewoodblog

“The Valley has already submitted a plan for what will become of their North Van Dien Avenue campus once inpatient care is moved to Paramus. And that plan does not, repeat: DOES NOT, involve the sale of the property to a housing developer. The Valley will use the ENTIRE property in connection with the provision of health care services.”

Reader says, “Who the hell is the council of churches?????”

“So let’s see. He slept with a married woman while married. And the woman was a fellow elected councilman, so pillow talk was taking place about things like high density housing and parking garages. He attempted to kill Mike Sedon’s candidacy by telling Mike’s employer (a Staten Island newspaper) that Mike was running for elected office (which was absolutely not a conflict, different states for God’s sake). He interfered with freedom of the press and speech by STOPPING PUBLICATION of a citizen’s letter to the editor that was critical of him. He lied to Father Ron of Mount Carmel in order to bulldoze his massive garage project ahead. He attempted to get a citizen fired from his job because the citizen was openly critical of him. He bullied Councilwoman Walsh at a public meeting about a parking ticket (teaming up with Pucciarelli on this one). And this, ladies and gentlemen of this fine town, is only the START of the listing of his horrific behavior. Who the hell is the council of churches?????”
