Man and Accomplice Arrested For Attempted Murder in Elmwood Park

Elmwood Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 29-year-old JHAMIR E. BROWN of Passaic, NJ on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapon offenses in connection with a shooting incident in Elmwood Park, NJ. In addition, 24-year-old DARIAL P. HUNT of Paterson, NJ was arrested and charged with possession of hollow-point bullets. These charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Deputy Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Elmwood Park Police Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Foligno.

Midland Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 47-year-old RALPH W. CASTELLANO III of Lodi, NJ on charges stemming from a fatal hit-and-run accident. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Midland Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Powderly.

NJ Attorney General’s Office Investigating Incident after Officers Were Attacked at Route 3 West Howard Johnsons

Clifton NJ, the NJ Attorney General’s Office is investigating an incident that took place earlier this morning at a hotel in Clifton, N.J., during which a man allegedly slashed a police officer in the face with a knife, and two other officers fired their service weapons at the man. The man, who was not hit by the gunfire, later stabbed himself in the chest during a subsequent encounter with police at the hotel. The 35-year-old man, whose identity is not being released at this time, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where he underwent surgery and remains hospitalized.
