Early Morning Break-In Leads to High-Speed Pursuit and Crash

Franklin Lakes NJ, a botched burglary attempt in Franklin Lakes early Saturday morning resulted in five arrests after a dramatic car chase ended in a crash. The incident began around 4 a.m. when a homeowner on Birch Road discovered two intruders inside her home and quickly called 911. Responding officers spotted the suspects fleeing in a white 2016 Ford Fusion, sparking a high-speed pursuit, according to Police Captain Robert Grassi.

Franklin Lakes Home Total Loss After Sunday Moring Fire

Franklin Lakes NJ, Sunday morning at approximately 1:50am, the Franklin Lakes Fire Department was dispatched for a reported fire. Chief 330 and Chief 340 arrived on scene and reported a 2.5 story wood-frame residential home heavily involved in fire and transmitted the 2nd alarm. Crews had the bulk of fire knocked down within an hour. No injuries were reported. The house was demolished at daybreak due to safety concerns .The Franklin Lakes Police assisted and  Mutual aid ,  Wyckoff Fire , Oakland Fire ,Waldwick Fire , Allendale Fire, Mahwah ladder Company #4  and Engine Company 425  and Midland Park Fire  all offered mutual aid.

Private Ambulance Service Employee Falls From Moving Vehicle of Route 208 South in Wyckoff

Wyckoff NJ, on February 25th approximately  1.35 pm Wyckoff Police received a 911 call reporting a person had fallen out of a moving vehicle on Route 208  South between Ewing and Russell Avenues. Arriving officers reported that the front seat passenger of a private ambulance had fallen out of the vehicle and was lying on the shoulder of the highway .  The 21 year old male was an employee of the private ambulance service . He appeared to have suffered  internal injuries and possible broken bones. The victim was transported to St Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson .

Wyckoff Home of U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer Hit With Protests

Wyckoff NJ, several police departments from Bergen and Passaic Counties along with officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office assisted Wyckoff Police in the arrest of approximately 12 protestors at the Wyckoff home of U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer on Monday afternoon, 10/18. Those arrested were allegedly trespassing on private property owned by the Congressman and his spouse. No injuries were reported by any officers or protestors at the scene.

Franklin Lakes Firefighters Free a Trapped Driver after a Rollover Crash on Summit Avenue

Franklin Lakes NJ, Franklin Lakes firefighters freed a trapped driver after a rollover crash. According to reports at 8:55pm crews were dispatched to a reported rollover with entrapment on Summit Avenue at Lynn Drive. Chief 330 and 340 and Franklin Lakes Police arrived on scene just minutes after dispatch to find an SUV on its side with 1 occupant trapped inside the drivers seat. Rescue 3, Squad 3 and Engine 334 quickly arrived on scene and stabilized the vehicle using Res-Q-Jack struts and began removing the roof. The victim was turned over to Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps and ALS for transport to a local hospital.

Exterminator succumbed to bee sting in Franklin Lakes

Franklin lakes NJ,  Franklin Lakes PD, EMS, and FD, along with a paramedic unit from The Valley Hospital, responded to a 911 report of a man lying unconscious on the roof of a synagogue located at 375 Pulis Avenue sometime around 12 noon on Wednesday, 11/04. The victim, an exterminator, was pronounced dead on the scene by the paramedic team. He apparently succumbed to a bee sting.
