New Jersey Families Need Tax Relief Not More Taxes

Trenton NJ, Senator Anthony M. Bucco said calls from a progressive coalition for $3 billion of higher taxes and new spending is the exact opposite of what New Jersey should do to improve affordability for families.
“Despite what these left-wing groups are saying, New Jersey’s problem isn’t that we tax and spend too little, it’s that we tax and spend too much,” said Bucco (R-25). “How many times have we been promised that another billion or two in taxes is the answer to all of our state’s problems? It’s never worked. We’re now stuck with the highest taxes in the country and a crisis of affordability that’s driving families and retirees from New Jersey in droves.”

Trenton NJ, The signing of A5802/S4103 today is a disgraceful money grab by the Majority Party and Governor which will use our tax dollars to circumvent federal law to repay and subsidize a private, non- profit organization who financially supports them at election time. A5802 will allocate $9.5 Million from the general fund, which is money generated by NJ taxpayers, exclusively to NJ Planned Parenthood affiliates to replace funds they will not be receiving from the Federal Title X Program because they refused to comply with new rules requiring Title X family planning recipients to physically and financially separate their abortion business from their family planning services.

*Zero* climate-alarmist predictions have come true over the past couple centuries

by Jason Vigorito
Thought for the day:
*Zero* climate-alarmist predictions have come true over the past couple centuries. Like this one. In fact, the exact opposite has happened in many cases.
Why do so many of you still believe in it on blind faith? How many more hundreds of abysmal predictions and more mountains of evidence will you continue to believe before even considering changing your mind? I can’t think of a more religious and anti-scientific position to have at this point.
The position is also deeply immoral and unethical in that there is deep-rooted hope for a climate apocalypse to occur and wreak massive destruction upon all life.

Elected public officials have a responsibility to deliver essential public services at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers
The following editorial by Senator Mike Doherty was published by NJ.com on November 8, 2019:
Elected public officials have a responsibility to deliver essential public services at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers. Too often, however, we see officials at all levels of government resigned to the notion that New Jersey will always be a high-cost place. They accept as fact that it’s impossible to fix our roads or build new schools without levying the highest taxes in the nation.
