Ridgewood NJ, on the morning of November 1, 2024, a Ridgewood, New Jersey resident was arrested at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) after Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers discovered a handgun in his carry-on luggage. The incident occurred in Terminal C at a TSA checkpoint when the man’s blue backpack, placed on the X-ray conveyor belt, revealed the firearm.

Suspicious Package Removed from a Rest Room at Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport

Newark NJ, dozens of flights have been delayed Sunday September 11th at Newark airport after authorities responded to a report of a suspicious package. 59 flight were delayed and the arriving flights are being held until 2:30 p.m.

The package was reportedly in a restroom in Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport and Level 1 of the terminal was immediately evacuated while officials investigated the scene, according to the Port Authority Police Department.

The item was removed and the airport was cleared at around 1:45 p.m., the Port Authority Police  said.

Newark NJ, On April 16, 2019, an international traveler from Israel who has been confirmed to have had measles — a highly contagious disease — arrived in Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport from Tel Aviv. The individual was infectious on that day and may have exposed others to measles. If you were in Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport on April 16 between 4 and 8 a.m., you may have been exposed to measles and, if infected, could develop symptoms as late as May 7.
