Paramus NJ, a head-on collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Century Road and North Farview Avenue in Paramus on Thursday afternoon, August 22, sent two people to The Valley Hospital and caused significant traffic delays during rush hour.
Mahwah NJ,late Tuesday afternoon, on April 23, a disturbing incident unfolded on Island Road in Mahwah as a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the 200 block. The severity of the victim’s injuries was immediately apparent, prompting an urgent response from Mahwah EMS EMTs and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital.
Fair Lawn NJ, two (2) individuals were struck by at least one (1) vehicle near the intersection of Cedar Street and Maple Avenue, Fair Lawn shortly after 7:30 PM on Sunday, 01/28. Both individuals were transported by separate ambulances to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. One (1) victim was gravely injured, the other was alert and conscious as he/she was being loaded into an ambulance. Paramedics from The Valley Hospital assisted Fair Lawn EMS personnel at the scene. Maple Avenue was closed in both directions near the crash site for an indefinite period to facilitate an accident investigation.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the driver of a silver colored SUV was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital following a crash in which the vehicle careened off of Route 17 southbound in Ho-Ho-Kus early Friday morning, 10/20, and slammed head on into a large tree. A bus stop shelter was narrowly missed by the fast moving car, but a bus stop sign was not as fortunate. The incident took place just south of Hollywood Avenue. A flatbed tow truck removed the wreckage.
Glen Rock NJ, gathered “early arrival” students were safely evacuated from the Alexander Hamilton School, located at 380 Harristown Road in Glen Rock, after a ceiling fire was reported at approximately 0830 hours on Wednesday morning, 10/18. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries to students, staff members, or first responders were reported. The cause of the small fire was being investigated. Glen Rock Fire Department was assisted at the scene by mutual aid fire departments from several nearby communities.
