Paramus NJ, a head-on collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Century Road and North Farview Avenue in Paramus on Thursday afternoon, August 22, sent two people to The Valley Hospital and caused significant traffic delays during rush hour.
The crash, which occurred late in the afternoon, involved a minivan and an SUV. Emergency responders from Paramus EMS and The Valley Hospital EMS were on the scene to assist the injured victims, both of whom appeared to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The victims were transported to the hospital in separate ambulances.
To clear the intersection and restore traffic flow, Paramus Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit used a utility truck to drag the wrecked vehicles out of the way. Separate flatbed tow trucks later removed the damaged vehicles from the scene. The accident led to over an hour of traffic disruptions in the area as crews worked to manage the situation.
