Who’s In Charge of the Village of Ridgewood Fields Committee?

Ridgewood NJ, Village Councilmember Siobhan Winograd got her knickers in a twist this past week when an issue involving the joint Ridgewood Public Schools/Village of Ridgewood Fields Committee was discussed during the Monday, April 7 public Board of Education meeting without prior notification to her. The issue concerned lack of Internet service at the Village owned Schedler House, the proposed location of a Fields Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 6. The absence of Internet service would prevent live streaming and remote meeting participation.  “Just write me and I will answer for the statements I made.” Said Ms. Winograd after she expressed her surprise that there was a “general discussion” about the matter during a Ridgewood Board of Education Meeting.

Ridgewood Village Receives NJDOT Grant for Safe Routes to School Initiative

Ridgewood NJ, exciting news reverberated through the Village of Ridgewood this Friday morning as the community, along with our esteemed Legislative team from District 40, gathered to announce a significant development in our ongoing efforts to enhance safety for our students. Senator Kristin Corrado, Assemblyman Chris DePhillips, and Assemblyman Al Barlas joined local officials including Mayor Paul Vagianos, Deputy Mayor Pamela Perron, Village Councilmember Siobhan Winograd, Chief of Police Forest ‘Cenzo’ Lyons and Village Manager Keith Kazkmark to unveil a $157,000-plus grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) in support of our Safe Routes to School initiative.
