School Bus Company, Its Owner, and Manager Charged with Using Unsafe Buses and Unqualified Drivers with Criminal Records

Wayne NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced that the owner of a Paterson-based school bus company, its manager, and the company were indicted today for allegedly providing false information to school districts in connection with contracts to cover up the fact that the company hired unqualified drivers, failed to conduct mandatory drug testing and criminal background checks for drivers and aides, and operated unsafe buses, all in violation of contract terms and state requirements.

Court Ruling Forces Over Development on Wayne

Wayne NJ,  Judge forces over development on Wayne . Judge Thomas Brogan, sitting in state Superior Court in Paterson, ruled that Wayne officials have avoided their responsibility through five-plus years of “bad faith” and “concerted procrastination.”  The court decision  means Wayne  has lost protection from builder’s remedy lawsuits this week after a judge ruled that officials have dragged their feet for too long in their obligation to plan for low-income housing.

Wayne NJ,  Students will begin a full week of virtual learning on Monday, as the K-12 district comes to grips with more potential cases of COVID-19 than its contact tracers can handle, school officials said. Sports and other extracurricular activities also will be suspended until at least Nov. 16.

Wayne NJ, The New Jersey State Police and Wayne Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying three suspects that allegedly broke into a tow yard in Wayne, Passaic County.
On Thursday, July 23, at approximately 7:27 p.m., the suspects were captured on video surviellence breaking into the J&M Towing yard and retrieving items from an impounded Porsche. Two men and a woman arrived in two white Mercedez-Benz sedans and parked in the rear of the tow yard. While the two men entered the yard, the woman remained in one of the vehicles.

Wayne NJ, The Attorney General’s Office is conducting an investigation of a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred yesterday, April 26, in Wayne, N.J. One male civilian sustained fatal injuries.

The decedent has been identified as Bradley G. Pullman, 48, of Beacon, N.Y.

Worker dies in cement mixer accident in New Jersey

WAYNE, NJ — A worker died in a cement-mixer accident in New Jersey Wednesday morning, local officials said.

Officials got a call about the incident around 10 a.m. The cement mixer was not in use at the time of the incident.

Initial reports show the victim was cleaning out the cement mixer on Dey Road and became trapped under the mixer’s drum. The victim was crushed by the body of the truck.
