Glen Rock Police Search for Bottle King Shoplifter

Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police Department is investigating another shoplifting of alcohol from the Glen Rock Bottle King. The above individual took several bottles off the shelf and exited with the liquor. The suspect entered the passenger seat of a 2016 white Infinity Q50 which was being driven by another individual. This vehicle is registered to a business out of Wayne, NJ. The suspect was confronted by a store manager as he was entering the vehicle. The vehicle fled in a reckless and dangerous manner from the parking lot.

ARREST MADE IN CONNECTION TO WAYNE HOMICIDE

Wayne NJ, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief Jack McNiff announce that at approximately 10:33 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, members of the Wayne Township Police Department were dispatched to 21 Hinchman Avenue in Wayne, New Jersey in response to a report of a domestic dispute. Upon their arrival, officers were able to deescalate the matter between the two residents involved in the incident and left the scene.
A short time later, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Wayne Police again responded to the same location on a report of an unresponsive male. The officers discovered a male lying on the floor within an apartment, at which time they provided the victim, later identified as Frank Majuri, 60-years old from Wayne, with CPR. However, Mr. Majuri remained unresponsive and was declared deceased at the scene at approximately 12:02 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

German Shepherds Being Mysteriously Dumped Throughout Northern North Jersey

Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County SPCA is reporting that in the past week, at least 8 German Shepherd dogs, thought to be related, have been abandoned throughout northern New Jersey. One such dog is Shelby, rescued by RBARI this past week after being tracked for days in Closter, then trapped by Buddah Dog Rescue and Recovery. Two other shepherds were rescued while running on the Palisades Parkway in Alpine, four more were found in Woodland Park, and one was found abandoned in Wayne. There are reports of sightings of at least 3 others possibly connected. None of the dogs have collars, tags or microchips, and all are very frightened, suspected to be the victims of backyard breeding.

Grewal announced that the owner of a Paterson-based school bus company, its manager, and the company were indicted today for allegedly providing false information to school districts in connection with contracts to cover up the fact that the company hired unqualified drivers, failed to conduct mandatory drug testing and criminal background checks for drivers and aides, and operated unsafe buses, all in violation of contract terms and state requirements.

Court Ruling Forces Over Development on Wayne

Wayne NJ,  Judge forces over development on Wayne . Judge Thomas Brogan, sitting in state Superior Court in Paterson, ruled that Wayne officials have avoided their responsibility through five-plus years of “bad faith” and “concerted procrastination.”  The court decision  means Wayne  has lost protection from builder’s remedy lawsuits this week after a judge ruled that officials have dragged their feet for too long in their obligation to plan for low-income housing.
