Moonachie NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ABDEL W. SHILEH (DOB: 3/16/1986; single; car detailer) of 93 Moonachie Avenue, Moonachie, NJ on drug, burglary, and weapons charges; and the arrests of TURRON K. WARD (DOB: 07/16/1978) of 30 Laurel Avenue, Irvington, NJ and MICHAEL HAYES (DOB: 10/01/1980) of 193 Bartholdi Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on weapons related charges. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Moonachie Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Behrens.

Union NJ, the New Jersey State Police have arrested Yazeed Shareef, 24, of Lindenwold, N.J., Kobie Harrison, 23, Nasir McQueen, 23, and Nyceem Corbit, 21, all of Philadelphia, P.A., and seized guns, hollow-point ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and drugs during an investigation that began after a State Trooper encountered one of the men walking on the New Jersey Turnpike in Union County.

EDGEWATER COUPLE ARRESTED ON WEAPONS AND DRUG CHARGES

Edgewater NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced today the arrests of ALEXIS MERCEDES (DOB: 10/22/1986; single; unemployed) and KATHERINE CASTILLO (DOB 01/09/1995; single; unemployed) both of 100 Alexander Way, Apt. 930, Edgewater, New Jersey. The arrests are the result an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

In October 2018, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad began an investigation into potential criminal activity by Alexis MERCEDES and Katherine CASTILLO. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that MERCEDES and CASTILLO were providing fictitious and/or fraudulent identification in order to establish residency. On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, BCPO detectives executed a search warrant at MERCEDES’s and CASTILLO’s residence in Edgewater, New Jersey as well as two vehicles used by them.
