The inventory card notes it’s from the “Bergen Turnpike – Gate 5” and that it was discontinued in 1915. Received from the Board of Freeholders, 31-1/2” H, 25-1/2” W. “Excursions Rate” appears to be painted over and those carrying a heavy load w/2 horses pay more like trucks do today.
