However, you’ll be able to enjoy its glow for several days, from Wednesday evening through Friday morning.
On Wednesday, October 16, just before the moon rises at 8:48 p.m. EDT, it will reach its closest point to Earth, a moment known as perigee. This combination of a full moon and perigee creates a supermoon, which appears 14% brighter than your average full moon.

A supermoon occurs when a full moon happens at the same time as the moon’s closest approach to Earth. The result?
