Wallington NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ELIEZER BISONO AGUILERA (DOB: 6/26/2000; single; laborer) of 2605 Bainbridge Ave., Apt. 2D, Bronx, NY on charges of aggravated arson, risking widespread injury or damage, and arson. The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Wallington Police Department under the direction of Chief Carmello Imbruglia.

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department  responded to Jefferson and the Boulevard for a working car fire. The fire was quickly brought under control and no further damage was done to any nearby structures. No injuries reported .

City of Hackensack Fire Department Dispatched to Motor Vehicle Accident Involving a Building

Hackensack NJ, at approximately 12:25pm on Saturday City of Hackensack Fire Department Engine 5, Rescue 1 and Deputy 4 were dispatched to 390 Hackensack Ave on report of a vehicle crash into the building. Upon arrival units found a motor vehicle accident involving the building, firefighters provided first aid on two patients reporting injuries until the arrival of BLS. Both patients were transferred to the care of BLS, Engine 5 applied absorbent to a minor fluid spill, City of Hackensack building department responded to check the structure. Engine 5 remained on scene until city tow removed vehicle.

Paulsboro, NJ,  Hometown Deli is back in the news again with the arrest of  Peter Coker Jr., 54. Coker a fugitive charged over an alleged market manipulation scheme in which a small New Jersey deli mysteriously drew a $100 million valuation was arrested last week in Thailand . Coker had been on the lam since last September, when prosecutors slapped him, his father, Peter Coker Sr., 80, and associate James Patten, 63, with 12 federal charges.

Neither Trenton nor Washington is clicking on all cylinders but the federal government scores slightly worse, according to the New Jersey public in a new Monmouth University Poll. Just under half of Garden State residents see politics as a “dirty business” – a view that has increased over the past 15 years. Still, a majority feel they can personally make a difference in solving problems in their local communities and half report having done so.
