Ridgewood NJ, the new Ridgewood Water Headquarters, located at 111 North Maple Avenue (next to the Ridgewood Public Library), is open for business. Their hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and their phone extensions remain the same. Those coming to the new Ridgewood Water Headquarters can park on North Maple Avenue, and walk in the front door.

Saddle Brook NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of ALLEN ERNST (DOB: 07/18/1994; single; unemployed) of Garfield, NJ; KARINA EREMYAN (DOB: 04/01/1991; single; unemployed) of Fair Lawn, NJ; and ANTONIO BOWEN (DOB: 11/04/1993; single; currently incarcerated) on charges of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.  The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Saddle Brook Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Captain John Zotollo.

NJ Six Flags Roller Coaster Malfunctions, Several Injured

Jackson NJ, Six Flags roller coaster, El Toro, jumped forward just as riders were trying to get off. The Amusement park says the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on the wooden roller coaster. The park issued a statement which reads, “Several guests reported back pain after riding El Toro this evening. Five guests were taken to a local medical facility for evaluation and 14 were injured . The ride is closed for inspection.” Police say the injuries were mostly minor.

Rockleigh NJ, Northvale police responded at about 5:50 p.m. on Thursday to a report of heavy smoke emanating from the popular wedding venue the Rockleigh country club on Paris Avenue on the border between the two towns, according to a statement from Northvale Police Chief Howard Ostrow.

To mark National Dog Day on Aug. 26, LawnStarter sniffed out 2022’s Best Cities for Dog Lovers.

LawnStarter  measured the puppy love in nearly 175 of the biggest U.S. cities based on 24 key indicators of dog-friendliness, such as housing, services, and care. We also looked at pawlicy favorability, access to pup-welcoming businesses, and affordability.

Saddle River County Park Walker Struck by Falling Tree Limb

Glen Rock NJ, an adult male visitor of the Saddle River County Park, Glen Rock Area was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital late Thursday afternoon, 08/25, after sustaining non-life threatening injuries when a tree limb fell on him while he was walking along a paved path. Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock EMS, and Bergen County Sheriff’s Office personnel rushed to the park’s Prospect Street, Glen Rock entrance to aid the victim.

Hamilton NJ, The New Jersey Public Charter School Association (NJPCSA) welcomes 60,000 charter school students and the thousands of teachers and school staff who will attend and work at the 85 public charter schools across the Garden state for the 2022-2023 school year. As free, public schools open to all students, public charter schools have a diverse student population across the state. Eighty-five percent of students attending charter schools are students of color, 72% of students are from low-income households and 10% are students with disabilities.
