Hackensack NJ, 2024 saw the most pedestrian deaths since 1986. There were 227 pedestrian deaths in New Jersey. There were 22 cyclist deaths in 2024, the third-highest number in the last 25 years. A 2023 study found that New Jersey has the most dangerous roads for pedestrians in the country.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Edgewater Police Department, under the direction of Chief Donald Martin.

Pennsauken NJ, Ridgewood Crew showed why it is among the country’s elite youth rowing programs this past weekend at the 2025 Scholastic Rowing Association of America national championships.

In a regatta that featured the best qualifying boats from high schools across the country, Ridgewood raced its way to one bronze and three silver medals, which ranked first for total podium finishes in sculling events out of the 148 schools competing. Its four overall medals were also second-most among all teams at SRAA, which featured 470 entries and more than 1,000 competitors.

MTA to Retire MetroCard by End of 2025, Replacing Iconic Fare System with OMNY

New York NY, New York City’s iconic yellow-and-blue MetroCard is being officially phased out after more than 30 years of service. MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber confirmed the news during a speech on Wednesday, announcing that MetroCards will no longer be sold after December 31, 2025.
