Trenton NJ, on March 21st, 2020 NJ Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order 107 , denying New Jersey residents their constitutional rights . Governor Murphy justified his decision , “To mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and protect the capacity of New Jersey’s health care system for the state’s most vulnerable, Governor Phil Murphy today signed Executive Order No. 107, directing all residents to stay at home until further notice. The order provides for certain exceptions, such as obtaining essential goods or services, seeking medical attention, visiting family or close friends, reporting to work, or engaging in outdoor activities.”

In the 12 years from 1775, America’s Founders saw no need for emergency exceptions to personal liberty.  In the time period up to 1787 when the new Constitution of the United States was signed, American colonists began contemplating a declaration of independence from Britain with a bill of rights, the 13 British colonies turned American states suffered no less than seven epidemics. These epidemics, consisting of smallpox and influenza, had mortality rates as high as thirty percent the highest in American history.

Despite the devastating impact of these epidemics during the early years of the new American republic when the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights were being deliberated and debated, no one ever proposed or suggested that public health exceptions or any kind of emergency exceptions be included. Furthermore, during the 19th and 20th centuries when the United States suffered through additional deadly epidemics (including the widespread Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-1920), no public officials ever proposed that Americans’ constitutional rights be suspended, even temporarily, for public health reasons.

While Governor Murphy was forcing Covid-19 infected patients into high risk groups in nursing homes , effectively murdering them , the Governor claimed that ,“From day one, we’ve made a commitment to be guided by the facts and take any action necessary to protect the health and safety of New Jersey’s nine million residents,” said Governor Murphy. “We know the virus spreads through person-to person contact, and the best way to prevent further exposure is to limit our public interactions to only the most essential purposes. This is a time for us all to come together in one mission to ‘flatten the curve’ and slow – and eventually halt – the spread of coronavirus.”

While exemptions were made for the  “mostly peaceful” , “Black Lives Matter Protests ” , claiming the Covid -19 virus had an uncanny sense to avoid these protests and not spread during them ,other protesters were not so lucky . Another such protester was a man named Albert French.

May 6th 2020 Mr. French had had enough and  was out protesting with a sign on Route  31 in Clinton township .  Mr. French was stopped for his sign as a Lieutenant  explained to him.  After being stopped and after being questioned he asked for a lawyer and continued to walk backwards facing traffic on the far left of the shoulder of the road.

After giving the police officer the now state bird he was sent 5 citations in the mail.  He went to court and fought the case and  was found guilty for violating Executive Order 107 for protesting during a time of crisis and not cooperating with a police officer. He appealed and the appeal was denied.

The denial was based on the violation of the Governor’s Executive Order 107 and charges such as pretty disorderly conduct  . While BLM protesters were never charged unless they blew up a police car as in Trenton  . The unconstitutional  Executive Order 107 was made even more egregious by its selective enforcement which is the cornerstone of a “Banana republic” and not a representative republic.

  1. The Left/Woke/DNC/Democratic Party/MSM power continues to marginalize the law abiding citizenry’s right to bare arms necessary to protect oneself, family, and loved ones. Get over the shock, No matter the devise, Gov. Murphey’s decree is unconstitutional, void, and unenforceable.

  2. Everybody knew this guy was a power hungry bastard, but they voted for him.

We can thank Christie for taking his family to a closed park because he couldn’t disappoint them.

    1. Talk about irrational. Voting for the second Goldman-Sachs Governor (twice) because the round obnoxious guy who wasn’t running went to the beach. What were New Jerseyans thinking?

      1. Which also serves as proof that the mere fact of a politician saying he or she wants the job, indicates disqualification……

This also includes buying the job, BTW

  3. Great summary. Thanks PJ.
