Hackensack NJ, after mounting election failures the pressure continues to build on BCRO Chairman Jack Zisa to resign . The Save Jersey Blog is reporting that , “The hard-charging LD38 GOP ticket fell short of its goal last week by about 5,000 votes, but two of its candidates think the campaign may need to continue. This time, saving the long-declining BCRO from itself may be the new aim. Save Jersey has learned that retired Bergen deli tycoon Barry Wilkes and businesswoman Micheline Attieh are actively considering a run for BCRO chair and vice chair, respectively, ahead of next year’s chairman’s election.”
This follows Octobers letter written by the “Bergen Republican Leadership Team” criticizing Zia asking both Bob Hugin NJ State Republican Chairman and Jose Arango NJ County Republican Chair of Chairs to relace Zisa’s leadership.
For his part GOP Chairman Hugin said, “We need to rigorously review and understand the lessons that led to disappointments in the areas where we did not do well. We lost significant ground in legislative races. What can we do to get more New Jerseyans to recognize the importance of getting out to vote? ”
In 2022 a website know as the “Jersey Conservative ” ran a post pointing to what appeared to be the attempt by a member on the Bergen County Republican Organization (BCRO) trying to to sell “the line” to Congressional candidate Frank Pallotta .
Zisa is not the first BCRO chair to come under fire . Republicans that win in Bergen county seem to do so despite the BCRO not because of the BCRO. The Bergen GOP has been trying hard to lose election for over a decade and it has taken its toll, leading to one party Democrat rule in Bergen .

This crook can’t raise money, can’t vet candidates, and doesn’t know the first thing about running or winning elections. If he truly respected the party, and his county, he would step down and allow someone else the opportunity to try to fix what he helped destroy. But everyone knows he’s intentionally tanking the county. Leatherface is a disgrace to everyone except the Democrat party!
