What portion of the garage’s cost do these CBD eateries plan to contribute towards it’s construction? If they, and other property owners in the CBD think they actually need a garage, offer to pay something towards the cost. Like Health Barn who expects to be given everything she wants from the town of Ridgewood at no cost to her–and doesn’t even live in the town to pay some of her taxes towards it. Many of our CBD owners are also not residents. For both groups, “It’s no skin off their noses” if the garage fails. They are just due one as they so graciously have opened their business here and certainly must deserve a reward for being so good to our residents.
It is the landlords you should ask, businesses are more closely aligned to the community and caught in the middle, but should help bridge the issues at hand

2:03 I do wish you were correct but if you look at any recent and not so recent garage plans that the Council has already put out to bid and decided which plan they prefer. Unfortunately, the Village residents Did vote down a garage but it was THAT garage (the Taj Mahal) and not to a garage in general. Too many residents think like you do and the darned thing is going to be under construction before the real truth is known.
I know the garage is a big issue. The big pushback and referendum was on the giant garage that went beyond the footprint and encroached on Hudson Street by 18 feet. I think it is equally divided on the current rendition. I know it is silly on my part but whenever James posts a picture of the Greek To Me wall I wonder how on earth Vagianos got to build it and why hasn’t it been removed? He must be in violation of something!

We all know it is impossible to get out of a car parked beside “the wall” but why the yellow stripes? Not only is he getting away with the wall but the village made it into a no parking spot. I have noticed Paul’s marked car parking there. I guess it becomes a private loading zone for him?

completely unjustified to build for peak use with no merchants on the hook for anything..it’s a screw job on the residents future tax exposures to maintain any filthy crime ridden garage.lever seen one you loved..case closed.
