Reader claims NOBODY cares about current Ridgewood residents

clock

How can anybody feel betrayed by Hache? He is realtor for God’s sake. Why would he care about your quality of life? I never expected much from him even though I gave him my vote. But it’s not only him. I’ve heard so many stories about VC from other towns across NJ. NOBODY cares about current residents. It is all about outsiders be it developers or businesses or low income families. NJ is a state of crooks where you can be bought and sold for very little. Honesty and decency are foreign terms. You have no say over the place you live, you’re a stranger in your own village/town. If you try to protect your way of life you’re biased and racist. The worst is that everybody is scared to stand up to these allegations. I would like to stand up to Antine and tell her in the face that “yes, I am against Newark kids coming to play in Ridgewood because before we provide for outsiders we need to take care of our kids first so shut the hell up and get lost. You stink of hypocrisy” but can’t do it because I know I will be crucified and the first to condemn me would be my own VC members let alone the majority of hypocrite lefties that are swarming everywhere. Until I can afford moving I will just shut my mouth and try clear my mind of this ugliness.

  1. The above is very true. Officials don’t care that I don’t want multi family housling, and land development on vacant areas like Park & Ride and Schedller and other places over the years. No one cares that I don’t want a parking garage , that I want to retain the atmosphere I moved in in the 1970s

The cBD would be better off with tiny apt. buildings all along East Ridgewood Ave rather than those stores that are useless for most shoppers who want the basics. For the basics its the Fashion Center for Best Buy or Bed , Bath Beyond, or Paramus Park Mall for clothes. Who in the hell needs novelty stores and expensive jewelry stores and expensive places for hair cuts.

If there were many small apt buildings all along East Ridgewood ave. No tax problem. Could be a FEW eating joints.

  2. Stacey Antine owner of the for profit business in Habernickle Park (Healthbarn) should pay for the use of the park outside of her designated area in her lease. Her field trips from god knows where come daily by large school buses all while her camp is going on. Not sure what they do except look at the garden pick a weed or two & go on a hike in the trails Healthbarn doesn’t even look like they feed the field trip kids lunch because they crowd & take over park benches before running around fields & playscape. Why should the tax payers of Ridgewood maintain a park where a private business is profiting off of. I don’t have a problem with kids eating on our picnic tables but I do when someone is charging them to do so. Leaving garbage baskets full of trash for our tax dollars to pay Parks & rec to empty. They certainly wouldn’t be as full if it wasn’t for Healthbarn. At least sport games you know are half Ridgewood kids enjoying games.

  3. Sorry 1:12 it ain’t 1970 it’s 2018 so either pick up the pace, get with the program or move along. Just because YOU live in the past doesn’t mean the rest of the town does or wants to. As for Antine you idiots let this happen via VC debacle whom YOU installed. Stupid is what stupid does and above all.. . NOBODY CARES.

  4. 311pm… those are terrible suggestions about kids. Any kid regardless of what town they come from should enjoy the parks and open spaces. Maybe wer should demolish and put low income housing
