Should the Romans pay reparations to their slaves too? Should the Vikings pay reparations for their loots? Or should the pirates?…..let’s stop this insanity people, and be responsible for your own choices.
The present value all of the social program earnings over decades would end up with any of the recipients owing the system far more than they lay claim. Thanks, send it to DC.
Do the kids shouting reparations ever think about the major problems in this cry? Do they plan to give money to every person with the famous “one drop” of African blood? Or just to the blacks who live as blacks? How are you going to distinguish among people born to slaves and any blackish person from any country in the world who has moved here in the last 75 years? How about the white descendants of the English slave holders who enslaved white men and paid their passage to America? At least they were treated fairly–after a certain number of agreed upon years of “slavery” they were freed. Many slaves were freed. Many blacks, even then, were not slaves. Just a thought about the foolishness of that cry.
Slavery has been a intrical part of the assembulation and genitic influence of many contrys and nations for every civilasation since the formation of city states. Get over it!! You people of black loves matter are not the most descrimnated of all, at least you were not exter.inated through genocide like Americn Indians and Jews were. In this time of bistory you people hold more opportunity offered to a y race so stop whinning.
