Ridgewood NJ, summer protests have left many parents and taxpayers stunned and concerned with what exactly is being taught in the Ridgewood public school system . The recent , “Ridgewood for Black Liberation” parades in the Village have left many in awe of the total ignorance of the protesters .

Washington DC, President Trump signed a memorandum yesterday to hold local politicians accountable for refusing to protect their communities from ongoing riots, lootings, and mass property destruction.
Per the memo, Federal agencies will identify what funds are provided to Seattle, Portland, New York City, and other jurisdictions that have allowed violence, lawlessness, and property damage to persist. Agencies will also determine what authorities are available to withhold these funds if and when necessary.
Where permissible, the Administration will restrict eligibility for certain Federal grants until these jurisdictions take the necessary steps to protect their residents.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood saw witness to another “Black Lives Matter” protest on Saturday . Demonstrators were attempting to show solidarity with those demonstrating in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ridgewood protests so far have been high on drama but low on substance.
The groups Ridgewood for Black Liberation, Brother’s United Bike Club and other community allies gathered at Van Neste Square Memorial Park to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake, 29, who was shot multiple times by a police officer in the Wisconsin town 40 miles south of Milwaukee. The group also marched to protest other instances of what they claim is police brutality.

“Another Saturday and another protest in the Village. Rumor has it the police overtime bill is nearing $40,000k if not more. So it looks like whether or not you support the BLM agenda, you will be paying for it in your tax bill.
In an ironic twist, the “Defund the Police” movement has actually created quite the opposite scenario, where these protests have actually funded the police by the tune of 40k more.”

“They should also Bill the organizers of RIDGEWOOD BLM PROTESTS other than the June events.
Especially when the cops blocked off the streets for them to march.”

“There will also be some level of Police presence at any organized event. For a BLM march, you had better believe there will be a large police presence. Why? If you have to ask this, then I can only assume you get your news from MSNBC/CNN or any of the other alphabet news stations. They carefully edit their reports to make sure that the marches are all rainbows and butterflies. Many actually are, but a lot have resulted in violence and damage. Of course, it’s your right to have a demonstration, but those police officers have to be paid for, and that’s the responsibility of those that organize the march.”

“As much as I detest these nihilists, Marxists, agitators (call them anything but protesters) I don’t think billing organizers for police overtime is a viable solution. I also don’t want these people destroying parks. The solution is what’s called the broken window strategy. Get to the rally early and start making arrests for any real offense, however petty. This prevents any real unrest. This is the strategy that helped turn NYC around in the 1990s. It’s common sense and it works and Ridgewood should use it. And everyone should take note of the similarities between Ridgewood and Kenosha. Both in Democrat run states, both about 50 miles from a very large city and very similar demographics.”

Englewood Cliffs NJ, A teen who organized a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest this summer was hit with an unexpected bill for $2,500 for police overtime from the borough. Obviously if you plan an event that expends police resources, you need to fit the bill. That’s standard procedure. Every town needs to do this when a permit is pulled. Pay up.

“The town is going to have to pass a law limiting how many “marches” one group is allowed in a year–6 months–even a month. Ridgewood limits garage sales and requires permits but these groups–who obviously don’t work, volunteer, do anything but waste Police and others time by planning things a number of times a week. We, as a community don’t have to put up with that. Why aren’t they forced to get permits? A march blocking traffic should be forced to get a permit or be kicked off the streets and charged a fee. It’s obvious from all the pictures that they proudly post that they are blocking both streets and sidewalks while they hold aloft incomprehensible signs. (burning crosses connect to what?) They have gotten by with so much trouble making that they think they walk on air and can never be challenged. Why Not? Why are they being allowed to continue this?”

Ridgewood NJ, Members of Black Lives Matter Chicago held a rally on Monday night in support of more than 100 people arrested following widespread looting and rioting in the city the night prior.Speaking at the rally outside a police station in the South Loop where organizers said the suspected looters are in custody, organizer Ariel Atkins excused the looting — which reportedly caused at least $60 million in property damage and left 13 police officers injured — calling the theft “reparations,” NBC Chicago reported.
A reader asks “Black Lives Matters just came out in support of the riots and looting in Chicago this weekend. They said looting is a form of reparations. Anyone ask Ridgewood BLM if they concur, and when we can expect the looting?”

Ridgewood NJ, Attorney General William Barr on Sunday voiced scathing criticism of the Democratic Party, claiming the left is trying to tear down U.S. institutions in a pursuit for “total victory.” The Attorney General said the protesters’ tactics were “fascistic” for all to see and that their behavior amounted to a “revolutionary group that is interested in some form of socialism communism.”

“In reading the tag lines for this article I noticed “Ridgewood For Black Liberation” which prompted me to visit their Facebook page. There I saw a video of the entire protest march and a still photo with a comment, “Thank you comrades for your support”. “Soladarity forever”. This posting came from The Central NJ Democratic Socialists of America, so it begs the question just how many Ridgewood residents are involved in these protest marches, and how many young people in town are being “recruited” by the DSA to carry forth their agenda. If this is an ongoing thing, today Ridgewood, tomorrow the rest of Bergen County.”

Ridgewood NJ, Catherine Brienza is the founder and president of JOLT USA commented in a Facebook post ,”Will someone please explain this quasi military presence in Ridgewood yesterday right at the time of the peaceful “teach in”? Who called for this waste of our Taxpayer money? They were marching around village hall and the library area.Who requested this presence? The Mayor? Police Chief? Village Council? Who???”
Those photos of the police lined up or behind Village Hall and yes it was night time. The rally had ended before it got dark. It seems to us that someone is trying to make a name for themselves by stirring up trouble and problems in a the Village of Ridgewood where they do not exist .
