I watched this “show”.
The council seemed more focus on that dumb sycamore tree at Graydon that has no significance.
What an embarrassment watching the mayor talk about making available dainty bundles of twigs for those who miss the rotted tree.
When the tree grew its roots did so as well in search of nutrition. And they found the water, in Graydon eventually, which I’m sure has chlorine in it . As such, it will die, just like watering your lawn with bleach.
Please get the wood chipper out and end this charade.
As a resident I was embarrassed that our mayor was more focused on making bowls out of this rotted dead tree than business that has significance to taxpayers .
When is the ChristmasTree coming down in the CBD and those tacky plastic Snowflakes hanging from the light poles ?
Let’s get a lathe and make wood bats out of the Ridgewood Heritage Tree.
“While bats made of ash have always been a popular choice, maple, willow and pine were also commonly used, and it wasn’t unheard of to see spruce, cherry, chestnut and sycamore.”
If we used BitCoin then there never would have been CoinBoy….
Take down the tree and put a Jacuzzi in its place.
