Reader says If I owned a business in CBD I would be mad that I didn’t get the same perks as Healthbarn

Habernickel Park Gate House

In order to hold Stacey to her lease that would require tax $$ which is crazy. Since she is unable to follow what she presented in Nov 2015 & what’s in the lease the lease should be terminated. On top of taking neighbors to court she is the hostile one that needs to go. Anyone who thinks she does good things for the village must be getting free zucchini’s too. What should be noted is everyone entering the park is under surveillance because of Stacey. Blinding lights in the parking lot also the result of having this business in a park. Tim said all Parks & fields would have the same lights installed has that happened yet? Maple was redone did that part of the parking lot get the same intensity lights? If I owned a business in CBD I would be mad that I didn’t get the same perks as Healthbarn free advertising on Parks & rec website special events that are held at Healthbarn its favoritism at its worst. On top of all that Stacey still feels the need to falsely charge neighbors of harassment. Supporting Healthbarn is supporting this kind of behavior from the village who stands by her & Stacey who is doing it.

  1. wha happened to the laswuits she filed against the neighbors?

  2. They were dismissed Very embarrassing for the town to keep this lease in place

  3. Ramon is the real estate expert now. So, Mr. Mayor, time to evict?

  4. Heard it was dismissed because lack of evidence of harassment.

  5. It was a joke! But a time consuming one. So sad for those neighbors to have been tortured like that! EVICT

  6. Throw her out asap.

  7. If Stacey is so unhappy & has to drum up false accusations of harassment…….maybe it’s time to move on I am sure Dtacey can find a place where no one will hold her to her lease.

  8. After 40 people spoke up at a meeting against the idea she should have known she was not welcome in a neighborhood home to run a business that uses buses to get its customers there. Over 65 plus kids . ( at times) What did she think would happen a welcome party for her and all her noise, lights, buses and cars.

  9. 65 kids….. wow sounds successful. Seems like lots of kids use the fields too.

Yeah those five neighbors directly impacted should shut everything down including those kids opportunities to learn and instead develop low income/ affordable housing. Maybe they would like a four story building across the street

  10. @9:02 maybe you may want a 4 story building but I think the neighbors want, and there are way more than 5, is fair treatment to all. The town should not support a business financially. The field brings in enough activity for a small neighborhood park, they do not need a very active business on top of it . It is a home in a residential neighborhood hosting 65 plus kids at a time. So yes I can see the disruption to them. Be kind and put yourself in their shoes. Anyway you look at it it is a BUSINESS crammed into a small home/ house

  11. A business in a quiet residential neighborhood in a public park. What the F@#K???? This should never have been allowed to happen. I don’t care how successful Healtbarn is or if they are doing great things for the kids, that is all irrelevant. The bottom line is she is breaking the lease repeatedly by having too many kids up there, she overspreads beyond the area she is leasing, she takes residents to court on trumped up charges, she has busses coming and going when she promised not to. She has to GO. Go somewhere else where you can be in a commercial district. Plenty of open space on Ridgewood Avenue. Maybe you can build a garden on top of the Bobby Knapp store

  12. @902 even if it was one tax payer that was unhappy and asking for help the council should help. They work for us, the tax payers we pay to live here all of us. If there is something that could be done to make a tax payer or 5 as you say have the proper quality of life that YOU have they should. THAT IS ThEIR DUTY, not yours to JUDGE. What until your neighbors house becomes a daycare or a business that is ALL day, seven days a week and 2 nights, then YOU can judge! Until then be compassionate to your fellow tax payers as the village council should do too!

  13. I’m triggered by the use of the phrase Trumped Up. I need to go somewhere that I can be completely alone to process this hate speech. I’ll be at Graydon.
