I hope everyone realizes the Progress Ridgewood postcard in the mail is the same old group of liars, and their propaganda….like, do I even need to point out that the quotes were taken out of context and distorted to make the point look like it was agreed upon??? I hope not.
Don’t be fooled by the flyer/mailer from Progress Ridgewood which claims that the new council elect wants you to vote yes. That’s simply not true.
Bernies quote was from 2011 or so when a CONCEPT was being discussed.
This new council is in support of parking solutions. Including a garage that fits the lot, and is appropriate to the neighborhood.
Let THEM decide the funding and look at all of the facts. Ridgewood voters came out in RECORD numbers in May to elect them. Now let them be responsible for what happens next. And do NOT be fooled, the outgoing lot of fibbers and thieves will do anything at all that they can to stick it to the village and to have their way.
Vote NO on Tuesday and let the new council decide. We can have the problems fixed by honest people with the villages best interest at heart. Not greedy developers and sneaky politicians. VOTE NO JUNE 21!!!! .
They keep passing the same old lies. I will never patronize Fish. Went to dinner with friends who wanted to try fish. Went to LaLanterna instead. They are now converts to the Never Fish Movement.
Are we spitting in the wind by voting against the garage…?
Is this already fait accompli…?
When will be the first set of lawn chairs go out on Linwood across from Graydon…?
My bet is today…
10:08 – The garage is going down in flames along with the scruples of the very small group of indivduals that back the pro-development special interest lobby. These are desperate and dishonest people that hit a new low with their flyer last week – which is in the process of backfiring mightily. Progress Ridgewood – meet The Truth About Ridgewood! You’ll be dark by Wednesday morning just like your predecessor.
I went inside once, just to see what it looked like. The bar is impressive, running the whole length of the west wall. Aside from that, meh. I’ll never eat there though. If you are going to sell yourself as a fancy restaurant, you need to be able to back it up. Fish got filleted in the Bergen Record review. So…maybe they’ll fool some of the folks who’ve never been out of Bergen county (and don’t read The Record), but that’s about it.
I enjoyed going there…when it was my bank. Lovely old building. But now–nevah! Or It’s Greek to Me. They have earned our contempt. Plenty of other fish in the sea.
No Fish. No Hillmann lighting. No Greek to Me. No Mango Jam. No Jekyll and Hyde.
And most of all vote NO
Easy to boycott. Shopping in Ridgewood was a conscious effort. Now I don’t need to bother. Except for Foxes. Love Foxes.
These merchants think that it is all about them. They have brought the level of discourse to the lowest level. They mirror the angry national political level.
Wow James, what happened to your “free market, laissez faire point of view”? You have blog posters openly calling for readers to boycott businesses in the CBD because they support the garage. Sick.
actions have consequences, its about as free market as you get ,back to econ 101 for you
