Ridgewood Conservancy for Public Lands: The key words here are Publc Lands. They pick and choose what they support and were so vocal about not supporting Schedler in any way and actually said at a council meeting as stated by Cynthia that they fully supported a 90 foot baseball diamond that would have meant the loss of acres of trees. I used to contribute but many in that group are not always nice, they are politically motivated and are definitely not inclusive of people and/or ideas.

  1. Typical Socialist playbook.
Hide your true intentions behind an innocuous name that appears to be THE EXACT OPPOSITE of your intentions.
    .
    Did you read Ayn Rand?
This has been going on for decades, if not longer.
    .

  2. They are not official in any way and should not be given carte blanche to do anything with public lands.

  3. Turns out that this was a private, invite only event (invitees were donors to the organization), held on public property without any fee charged to the organization by the Village. What a riot. Someone’s head should certainly roll for this major gaffe.

  4. This was endorsed by head of parks and recs. And they spent a crap load of money on plants and fountains all freaking free to the village for everyone to enjoy. How ungrateful.

  5. 10:16 – Just because you choose to donate some plants, this does not entitle you to use public property for a private event and to pay no rent for the event. What is this, donation with strings attached? Despicable. And the head of parks and rec is an absolute nut job, so completely unprofessional. And the Conservancy is not an official group just a bunch of people who come to meetings and suggest clear cutting Schedler, and defend a tiny strip of grass and bash certain council people. Follow the trail. Jeff Voigt was the only invited elected official. Doesn’t this tell you all you could possibly need to know about this rogue event?

  6. The Village should send them an invoice in connection with rental of a public facility. Wasn’t there just an ordinance passed regarding such fees?

  7. 1:40 – You are actually describing the CRAB – Community Relations Advisory Board. Their intentions sound pure but they are the nastiest most divisive group imaginable.
