The council created this problem and the time has come for the council to fix this problem.
This “business” has destroyed what was once a lovely and charming neighborhood.
As a reminder, the principle that government must be both “limited in power and ACCOUNTABLE to the people” lies at the core of our constitutional traditions (especially so in local government). Take action against Health Barn or we the people will take action by voting you out when your terms expire…
Can you hear us know?
For some reason, our present council can only indicate that they are going to do nothing about the Health Barn because they weren’t responsible for its existence. Actually two of our current members were on the prior council that approved the stupid thing. We may have to actually wait until after the new elections to have any plan or action on any problem in the Village. We have a “do nothing” federal Congress and Senate and it seems our present council are taking that action (none) to be gospel. In the meantime village residents have no idea what the future will bring. It’s obviously going to be a future council as this one has heard all the requests and prefer to bury their heads under their covers instead of taking ANY action on Anything. They all appeared to be perfect representatives of the village proper but after winning seem to be too tired, and too concerned with citizen belittling, to accomplish one —- thing!
The least they could do is monitor what actually goes on over there. Wednesday is another restaurant style dinner and a yoga class. How in Gods name does that benefit Ridgewood?? Oh right we don’t have enough restaurants or yoga studios!!! And to boot it is $$$$$$$ to go. Nothing coming back to Ridgewood BUT keep telling yourself how good the healthbarn is for the town. #ignorant
And this business making $$$ for holding a restaurant style dinner and adult yoga helps children how??? Wake up is right!!!!
I extend my deepest sympathy to the people who live there. Mrs. Habernickel would have a cow.
Though it is becoming to be fairly obvious that, for unknown reasons, our current council seems to be afraid to even mention the words “Health Barn” that no action is going to be taken until it becomes the next council’s problem. I don’t understand how this could have happened to the people we chose to represent us and to DO something about Ridgewood’s real problems not just the surface ones. “The Wall” and future traffic patterns designed for our over crowded streets also seem to be taboo. Is it possible that strings are being pulled to control the actions of the council? That would be a horrendous concept but seems to explain the puppet like devotion of the current council to dedicate themselves to only inconsequential things.
Seriously the name should be changed she didn’t donate the property. She made a win fall !!
