They should be paying for these services but they don’t. The Village Council should be challenging Valley’s “not-for-profit” status in court based on the Morristown precedent but they do nothing. We’re literally leaving millions of dollars of payments in lieu of taxes from Valley on the table as a result. Taxpayers should be sickened by this inability to protect Ridgewood tax payer interests but no one seems to care.
Not only should we tax them but we should demand they pay our legal fees for bringing a frivolous lawsuit. Enough with these arrogant people.
Retroactively to 1955, please.
Their gone people…we lost a first class medical facility AND the PILOT dollars that went with it and now your going to force a dead issue? Nice job NIMBY’s .
sorry nice try gonna be years before they finish in Paramus , and they will wear out their welcome in Paramus soon enough,
Get ready for the land swap with Bergen Regional too. The county will be on Linwood Ave soon enough.
Payments in lieu of property taxes could bring millions in additional revenue to the Village, as much as $4.5million a year which is 10% of the annual Municipal budget. This would provide much need tax relief for tax paying property owners in the Village. Why isn’t the Ridgewood Village Council challenging Valley’s not for profit status in the courts?
I’ve heard Valley is willing to offer $2million ofmore in annual payments in lieu of taxes for municipal services to the Village. Why aren’t we asking them to pay it?
Tax relief….that’s pretty funny. Not with the union lackeys in this town. Their going to be milking you for years.
