Since he joined the district in 1998, Mr. Pizzuto gave his best to Ridgewood High School in every way possible from his start as a long-term substitute teacher to teaching mathematics to serving as the Assistant and Acting Principal. He was a role model to many cohorts of students, who learned valuable life lessons under his care and guidance. Always with a smile that emitted his sincere kindness, Mr. Pizzuto was a pillar of the RPS community.
We will miss his presence and be forever grateful for his years with us. On behalf of the Board, we extend our deepest condolences to his family.
During this difficult time, please know that additional counseling resources are available for our students and staff. The wake at Vander Plaat Colonial Home in Fair Lawn will be on Monday, November 28th between the visitation hours of 4-8 pm. In addition, the funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, November 29th at 10:30 am at the Saddle Brook church where Mr. Pizzuto was a key member of the music ministry. In order for all to participate, the service will be live-streamed at RHS Campus Center for the students and staff, and at Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood for the community at large. We thank the outpouring of support from our neighboring districts and within the Village during this period of mourning.
In sympathy,
HyunJu Kwak
President
