Ridgewood NJ, The Central Business District will has several 15-minute complimentary parking spaces on Oak Street, Chestnut Street, North Broad Street, off of East Ridgewood Avenue, and Wilsey Square on the west side. These parking spaces are limited to 15 minutes only, are free of charge to everyone, and are to be used to do a quick errand or pick up food or visit a business. Please be advised that if you are parked in these spaces longer than 15 minutes, you may receive a parking summons. These spaces have been generously sponsored by several local businesses, which are acknowledged on the 15-minute parking signs. We encourage you to stay longer in the Central Business District by parking in one of our many lots or the Hudson Street parking garage (at $1/hour), and there is also on-street parking available (at $1.25/hour).
Did anyone in Ridgewood government ever look at “parking systems” in other places?
All spots are free for the first 15 minutes in Nyack.
RW is delusional.
It keeps driving the prestige, uniqueness and desirability of the village DOWN
while driving the inconvenience, cost and banality UP
and still expecting people to continue wanting to visit.
I don’t shop in Ridgewood anymore. I got all the locations. I definitely will not pay for parking. There are so many other great little towns around us.
Me personally they should try free parking one weekend and see how that works. Have an incentive to lore a bunch of people into the town to spend money. They can afford it. What do you think that parking garage is going to be paid off in 20 years dream on. In 20 years will be crumbling.
paying for parking drives away potential shoppers
its ”so montclair”
Got to have meters so someone can steal coins. Has Tommy Boy Rica ever made his reparations to the Village for the estimated $850,000 in quarters he stole right out from under the RPD’s eyes?
