Ridgewood NJ, in a “letter to the editor” dated September 15, 2020, Ms. Siobhan Winograd (now Ridgewood Village Councilperson Siobhan Winograd) wrote this about the purported taking of children’s photographs at Graydon Pool: “. . . or having friends follow children around Graydon snapping photos – all while claiming that minors should have no expectation of privacy in a public space. Who does that, and why are we as a community condoning it?”
Conversely, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, Councilperson Siobhan Winograd “liked” a Facebook post in which 50 photographs taken of children participating in a public event held at Van Neste Memorial Park were displayed.
Hmm. Our staff wonders why the Councilperson protested about photos taken of children in one public space, but praised photos taken of children in another. Hmm. What could it be?
Oh yes. It’s all about who allegedly took the photos at Graydon. We understand it now. Took us only a few extra moments to get it. An expensive lawsuit in the making here if someone doesn’t just shut her up.

Why be vague? Let’s make it clear for those that might not be following. The Council member Siobhan Winograd protested about photos taken of children in one public space (taken by a person of color), but praised photos taken of children in another (taken by a white person).
She needs to step down NOW!!!!!

At the BOE level, Siobhan Winograd protested for a no vote of confidence against the only two people of color (they had only been in the seat 6months).
Before that, she filed a police report against a man of color who was simply speaking at a public meeting who opposed her views.

Wondering if she consulted with the village attorney before taking action against people of color? Apparently she doesn’t make a move without asking him for advice and apparently even has him attend her meetings when the intimidation factor is in play. She needs to stop this abuse. Just like the other known bullies who treat people horribly, she needs to get voted out for her bad behavior, always scheming behind the scenes. Her behavior is shameful. Maybe she should do an apology video and post it on her facebook page
