the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, Councilman Voigt has a message for residents about his ruthless attacks,”I can’t and won’t apologize. I don’t intend to and I just want to make sure people know that.”
Watch his loud and clear message here.

In a comment to the Ridgewood blog, similar to one posted on Facebook Councilman Voigt Says He will Continue to Speak Out:
“Nice to see all the comments.Actually, I am quite consistent in how I treat people. When I find that someone is abjectly unfair, deceitful to others, and violates the Faulkner Act, I will speak out. We need this in government. I would be happy to speak to any anonymous person above about what occurred any why you should be concerned.
Enjoy your holidays.
Jeff Voigt

Really Jeff, you are a total a-hole. You want to talk to people privately? Why not PUBLICLY explain your accusations that the mayor has broken the law? Why tell people one-on-one in private conversations? We all want to hear your accusations explained, loud and clear. We are listening. Spill the facts.
Jeff is so untransparent. Vague and uncertain accusations with nothing to back them up. All because he hates Susan.
What a jerk. Where can I find video of initial incident?
I found the initial video exchange. Even if his comments had merit (which I have no idea) he presented them in an unprofessional way, in the wrong setting and as a personal attack. As a gentleman and in the spirit of working together he should have apologized, but he’s digging in his heels. Good luck with his guy….didn’t get my vote.
He’s in for a rough ride…..
You know Jeff, a lot of people worked very hard and contributed plenty of money and time to get you elected. Now you have gone off the rails like a lunatic with your ever-present hatred of Susan. You have accused her of breaking the law but have not backed that up with anything. Nothing. Don’t the people who worked for you, and in fact all the people in Ridgewood, deserve to know what the hell is driving your unbridled hatred of our much-loved mayor???
From what I understand, the mayor, Susan Knudsen, has the obligation, to ensure that committees are run smoothly.
She is not an authoritarian person.
If she communicated her concerns to a committee and they said, don’t worry, we are having “a healthy discussion” as Jeff claimed they were at council meeting, not a major conflict, Ms. Knudsen would have been satisfied.
I think that is the conflict between Jeff and Mayor; if I understand correctly. Jeff thinks that the mayor was not justified in voicing her concerns to a committee. Was it the FAC committee; I think so.
Even though it’s a Faulkner govt. , the mayor does , I believe have the obligation to intervene if she senses there is a problem; intervene to help out, to suggest.
Talking to committee members is not a violation of the Faulkner act.
Susan has done whatever she wanted to do ever since she crashed coffees not held for her that she was explicitly asked not to attend. Why would we think she would do anything different now?
Arrogant SOB!
ok, what is the specific alleged violation? This is too serious to throw out there without proof.
We are not getting the full story I’m guessing. Mayor Knudsen and Councilman Voight get over it and move on please. And I am thankful the other three councilmembers are not getting involved in their spat.
Sounds like some serious accusations. Lets hope Mr. Voigt shares the story with the public. Let us judge for ourselves. Sounded to me like Susan probably ended up reading emails bashing her or something. Lets get it out in the open so we can decide which side is right.
I didn’t know you could crash a coffee. We used to give coffees so that you could hear from all the candidates on a more personal level. Susan did not crash a coffee and maybe she was able to get a few votes from the one referred to in the blog entry and it only added to her landslide win! She would be a welcomed invite to any gathering.
Crashing a coffee. What a major crime. I am really shocked.
What about crashing a party where liquor is served. What about crashing a car.
Crashing a Coffee. I cannot stop laughing.
Isn’t he a very close friend of the CIVILITY Queen? Isn’t she teaching her any civility lessons?
Susan Knudsen is an amazing public servant, open, honest, civil, polite, pleasant, smart, funny, trustworthy….the list goes on and on. She is aces. The best since Mayor Killion. A huge breath of fresh air after the Aronsohn mess.
Aronsohn and sometimes his minions, but especially him, used to show up wherever they wanted, including plenty of meetings where they were not invited. One was a meeting at Mount Carmel re: garage where he literally pretended to have been asked to be in charge, seizing the microphone. He also showed up at the Duck Derby to give the prizes after his term on the council had ended. Is Jeff following in those abominable footsteps?
10:14 I think you are confusing Aronsohn with Hauck. She is the one who butted her ridiculous self into the duck derby. They are all abominable. Jeff is the newest of the low-life.
Politics aside what kind of a man would be so publicly rude!!! He and his family should be embarrassed. Sorry I supported him. He was a mistake!!! It was a short period of calm, here we go again!
You people are so ass backwards it’s laughable. VH is completely out of control and you can’t elect ANYONE of any stature to take the reins without some sort of conflict. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE
