the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services members and Ridgewood Police Patrol Officer Jeffrey Kay worked to clear storm drains of fallen leaves in order to keep the critical intersection (primary ambulance route) of Grove and Prospect Streets, Ridgewood open during a heavy rain storm on Sunday afternoon, 10/29.
Why don’t the police and emergency services leave the cleaning of the drains to the public works dept. if the Dpw started doing police or emergency services work there would be trouble let everone tend to their own duties.
I doubt that on Sundays that the DPW is staffed. You could call them in at overtime pay…
I’d like to thank the people who cleared the drains and made the street passable. How would you feel if it were your mother or child who had to be rushed to the hospital and found the roads closed?
11:18 sounds like you have all the answers.
Maybe you can apply for Village Manager position.
Isn’t it funny that other departments can do public works work past 330 and on weekends. We find it very amusing. That’s OK if they can do it after 330 and on weekends they could do it Monday through Friday 7 to 330 thank you.

Is that the Glen Rock side of the street?
Well maybe if the village had to sweeper’s out continuously sweeping the roads like they did in the past the roads would be a lot cleaner. I went for a ride another neighboring towns in there roads are a lot cleaner than ours all year long . This past year the village roads were filthy they swept my road once in the past he was done like for five times services are deteriorating.
7:54 H E L L O?
How are we going to continue to pay our absured salaries and pump our golden pensions if you KEEP BITCHING.
WERE PROFESSIONALS
Of course services are deteriorating, WERE DOING IT ON PURPOSE.
I need 125K a year on top of funding my pension with ALL benefits…with all that you expect me to clean your street? Yea right.
