Ridgewood Fire Department use the “Jaws of Life” to Extricate the Driver from Friday Evening Crash

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Fire Department personnel used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the driver of a dark colored SUV from her vehicle following a Friday evening, 11/02 crash at the intersection of South Monroe Street and West Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood. Ridgewood EMS transported two (2) victims of the crash to The Valley Hospital. All injuries were reported to be non life threatening in nature. Ridgewood PD also responded. At least one (1) vehicle was removed from the scene by a tow truck.

  1. That’s a pretty benign intersection except that S. Monroe is very narrow there and the sight lines are not great. People driving too fast as they turn off W. Ridgewood Ave. is usually the problem. If they aren’t looking closely, forget it.
