Ridgewood NJ, a temporary road closure on Friday morning as emergency responders sprang into action to address reports of heavy smoke inside businesses along East Ridgewood Avenue, between Cottage Place and North/South Walnut Streets.
The swift response from Ridgewood firefighters helped to resolve the situation and ensure the safety of the community.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters quickly identified the source of the smoke as a malfunctioning HVAC unit within one of the establishments located at 171 East Ridgewood Avenue. Despite the concerning appearance, there were no reports of injuries or adverse health effects requiring medical evaluation.
With the situation under control and the smoke dissipating, East Ridgewood Avenue was reopened to traffic after a brief closure, allowing businesses and residents to resume their daily activities without further disruption.
