Ridgewood, NJ, the Ridgewood Guild orchestrated a local shopping event in the central business district known as the Ridgewood Guild’s CASH MOBS! The event kicked off with a complimentary breakfast at on of our favorite spots Pierre & Michel and continued with a visit to five local retailers: Olive R. Twist, Pazazzed, Beauty Club Salon, Hot Jewelry Box, and Hunt and Orchard. Shoppers spent over $2000 at these retail stores, supporting the local community. The Ridgewood Guild encourages everyone to stay engaged and look forward to Holiday Cash Mobs during one of their Late Night Thursdays. It’s a reminder to “Stay Local, Shop Small” and support local businesses.

I support shopping local businesses in our CBD but, the cost of parking is a bit much.
Nothing that folks haven’t been talking about for at least the last 45 years………..
If 1.25/hour is too much for you to afford while shopping or eating out then you shouldn’t be shopping or eating out.
Then here are a couple of pro tips for you. Parking is free if you find a spot on a close, quiet side street and walk. Or do what everyone else does and park in the WholeFoods lot. The CBD is not that big. The walk won’t kill you.
That’s why my family and I don’t shop in Ridgewood, I’m not paying for parking. At this point the village should just make parking free, get rid of the meters, get rid of all the parking officials and see if they can get revenue from somewhere else. I would love to know how much money they received in the past year. I’m sure it wasn’t that much.
Westwood currently charges 25 cents to park for 2 hours.
Westwood is much more normal than Ridgewood and has not gone Full Woke.
