“Mason Grant Angus, 24, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the weekend of February 27th. Mason graduated from Ridgewood High School, in the Class of 2014 and from Rutgers University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He is survived by his mother Vicky Angus and father Tom Angus, along with his two beautiful sisters Cache and Payton. Mason leaves behind his paternal Grandmother, Mary Angus and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and Thailand.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Peter Angus, and his maternal grandparents, Marion and Allan Johnston, from Toronto, Canada. He had a great fondness for Seamus, the family tortoise and had recently acquired a rescue cat Ray. Mason worked for Wiley Publishing in Hoboken where he had recently been promoted to a Configuration Manager. He interned at Wiley and was thrilled to be working with them on a full time basis upon graduation from Rutgers. A faithful friend, many of Mason’s friendships originated from elementary school and carried on through to University and into his working years. With his many friends, Mason shared his crazy humor and his love of basketball, gaming, Giants football and skateboarding. So great was his interest in basketball, that he created a YouTube Channel (Two4Eight) dedicated to analyzing various players. When you watch his YouTube channel, you will realize he missed his calling in sports communications. If you would like to honor Mason’s memory, gifts can be made to what was originally Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Sports Academy at https://www.mambaandmambacita.org/ Funeral arrangements are being assisted by the Feeney Funeral Home at 232 Franklin Ave, in Ridgewood.  A memorial will be held Sunday March 7th from 2 to 5:30pm with a Eulogy service from 4:00 to 4:30pm at the funeral home.  Streaming service will be provided for the memorial and the Eulogy service.
